Coding using

5JR

Using P5.JS (an online javascript library for creative coding), I emerged my love for typography and code. The project explores a grid system which displaces the ‘5jr’ with user input.

I created the 5jr through a small experiment of linking together random letters and numbers to see how they could connect. I wanted to see how far you can push them away from their original form while remaining recognisable.

The process of 5JR stemmed from a short experiment of mixing together random letters and numbers. The goal was to see how far the forms could be pushed until they became unrecognisable. This agenda was then pushed further through the coding, using a grid system of displacement to further push the 5JR away from its original form.
